Treylon Burks injury update
According to ESPN’s Turron Davenport, the Titans’ first-round pick was not at practice Thursday morning. However, Burks was spotted on an exercise bike, which makes sense since he had a leg wrap after the team’s final preseason game against the Buccaneers. The former Arkansas standout had one reception for four yards against Tampa Bay.
It hasn’t been an easy training camp for the rookie wide receiver, who had an outstanding last season at Arkansas and was highly hyped during the draft process. The Titans expect Burks to become the backup to star wide receiver A.J. Brown, who was traded on draft night to the Eagles.
The 23-year-old rookie will likely start the season as the Titans’ third wide receiver behind Robert Woods and Nick Westbrook-Ikhine, but given his talent, he could move up the depth chart quickly. SN Fantasy has Burks ranked 46th among WRs in standard formats and 48th in PPR formats heading into this season. The young wideout has a lot of work ahead of him after not doing much in the preseason, but he’s still a solid bench player coming out of your draft.

Drake London injury update
ESPN’s Michael Rothstein reported Thursday that London was among five Falcons players who were not in the first half of practice. London has been sidelined with a knee injury suffered in the team’s preseason opener on Aug. 12 against the Lions. Atlanta head coach Arthur Smith said a couple of days after the game that London’s injury was “not a long-term thing.” The good news for the Falcons is that we’re still a couple of weeks away from the start of the regular season, which means there’s still plenty of time for London to be ready.
London was the first wide receiver drafted last spring and will likely play a big role in the Falcons’ offense. The team still has second-year tight end Kyle Pitts, but they will need to find a way to replace the production of Calvin Ridley and Russell Gage. The former USC standout can be the secondary option in the passing game for Marcus Mariota when healthy. SN Fantasy has London 44th among wide receivers in standard formats and 45th in PPR formats. Despite his nagging knee injury, London is still a high-flyer in the late rounds of fantasy drafts who could exceed his price tag.

Chris Godwin injury update
Godwin did not practice Thursday, which means he is unlikely to play in the team’s preseason finale against the Colts, according to ESPN’s Jenna Laine. Godwin has been working his way back from a torn right ACL late last season. He’s made a ton of strides in his recovery during training camp, which could mean his return to the field sooner rather than later. Last season, Godwin had 98 receptions (127 targets) for 1,103 yards and five touchdowns.

If Godwin misses a couple of games in the first month of the season, the Buccaneers can lean on new wide receivers Russell Gage and Julio Jones. Both veteran receivers will play an integral part of Tampa Bay’s successful passing game and give Godwin more time to catch up. Last season, the former Penn State standout had five games with 100+ receiving yards and eight games with double-digit fantasy points in standard leagues. Once he’s healthy and ready to go, don’t be surprised to see Godwin as one of the best WR2s in fantasy football this season.
