A woman who was reported missing after leaving a party last weekend has been confirmed dead. Josie George, a self-employed creative director and casting agent in London, was reported missing on Sunday, December 18, after she was seen leaving a party in west London in an Uber.
Friends and family became increasingly concerned for her welfare. Tonight, the Met Police have confirmed that Josie was found dead on Tuesday, December 20, after a search. Her death has been described as unexpected but not suspicious.

A spokesman for the Met Police said: “Just before 11.30am on Tuesday, 20 December police attended a hotel in Tower Bridge Road, SE1, after the body of a woman was discovered.
“The death is being treated as unexpected but not suspicious and an investigation is underway. Her next of kin have been informed. A report will be prepared for the coroner.”
Those close to Josie paid tribute to her on social media, with her friend Sly Augustin writing on Instagram: “On Monday 19 December our dear friend Josie George sadly passed away.
“Naturally her friends and family are disappointed and trying to deal with the loss. We respectfully ask that her family and friends be given the space to process her death at this extremely heartbreaking time. Thank you. “
Another friend, Beej, said before her death that she had gone missing after an Uber ride home in London.
