It’s not the first time the singer has stopped a show to make sure her fans are safe.
Billie Eilish briefly halted her show at London’s O2 arena on Saturday after several fans struggled due to sweltering temperatures.
“Are you okay?” she asked. “People would pass out and be carried out. It’s hot, I know.”
After fans said they were “crushed”, he stopped the music until the pressure in front of the stage eased.
“Take a step back, give everyone some space,” Eilish said. “If someone looks a little queasy, just tell someone.”
She added: “Don’t try to save feelings.”
Previously, Eilish had asked the O2 security team to distribute water to the audience.
It is not the first time that the singer has stopped a concert to see how her fans are doing.
In February, he cut short his Happier Than Ever tour in Atlanta after noticing someone gasping for breath and refusing to continue until they could access an inhaler.
“Can we have one?” he asked a crew member.
Later that month, he also paused a show at New York’s Madison Square Garden, telling fans, “If you want to sit down, you can. Go ahead, you’re fine. Sit down, take a breather.”
The issue of crowd safety has been in the spotlight since 10 people were killed during a crush at Travis Scott’s Astroworld festival in Houston last year.
Fans in the audience later criticized the response of the emergency services and asked why the organizers did not stop the concert.
An inquest is looking into the circumstances that led to the tragedy.
At The O2 on Saturday night, fans took matters into their own hands. One group, after noticing that a fellow concertgoer was in trouble, formed a protective circle and turned on their phone lights to alert the security team.
Eilish resumed her show after three minutes. He later thanked “all the security [and] all the staff” at the venue, adding, “I appreciate you.”
Powerful songs
Saturday’s concert was the second of six Eilish will play at the O2, as well as headlining Glastonbury.

The mood had been feverish from the start; with the star’s breathy voice frequently drowned out by fans.
Beatlemania-pitched screams punctuated the night, whipping around The O2 every time Eilish neared the edge of the stage; or when he fell to his knees during Therefore I am; or when he picked up a fan’s Pride flag and draped it over his shoulders; and even as she struggled to untangle a hair tie from her jet-black pigtails.
It was a reaction you’d normally expect from a boy band like BTS or One Direction, but while those groups stir emotions with the illusory promise of romance, Eilish’s songs inhabit the awkward messiness of early adulthood.
She sings about nerves and depression, awkward social interactions, and hopeless boyfriends. His songs have a macabre edge (one features the sound of a dentist’s drill) and a skepticism of authority.
It’s no wonder his lyrics resonate so powerfully with his fans.
“Singing those songs out loud was like free therapy,” my 12-year-old son commented as we left the arena.
The star often stopped to gaze at the atmosphere.
Earlier in the set, Eilish laid out her ground rules for the night: “Don’t be a jerk, don’t judge anyone here, and have fun, bitch.”
She was the biggest beneficiary of her own advice, hurtling across the stage with the unbridled energy of a hurricane; while her legs were bandaged to prevent a recurrence of an old dance injury.
The show relied entirely on his charisma, with minimal staging, lit almost exclusively in red and white.
A concession to arena spectacle was the moment Eilish climbed atop a giant hydraulic crane to serenade the back of the auditorium, but she managed to subvert even that cliché, leaning back on the safety ropes to dangle dangerously over the crowd. His insurers must have been shaking in their boots.
But perhaps the most impressive feat was the way Eilish turned some of her less powerful songs into arena-filling monsters.
Goldwing, an experimental and vibrant track on their second album, became a thrilling call-and-response hit; while the murmured beats of Oxytocin briefly turned the O2 into an underground rave.
Elsewhere, a montage of childhood videos during Getting Older was endearing and sweet; while Your Power, a song about older men abusing their positions, felt especially cathartic.

Other songs were cruelly interrupted.
All The Good Girls Go To Hell, a macabre standout from their debut album, was stripped down to a single verse and chorus; while his breakout songs Bellyache and Ocean Eyes were unnecessarily condensed into a brief medley.
With just two albums to her name, Eilish didn’t need to fool fans with some of her favorite songs, even if she’s progressed musically since they were released.
But she ended the night on an unarguably high point, with deliciously malevolent Bad Guy (duh!) followed by Happier Than Ever, a smoothly strummed breakup ballad that builds and builds to an almighty operatic climax.
“You make me hate this city,” the audience screamed at the top of their lungs.
But not tonight. Not when Billie’s around.
