Flooding led to road closures in Acton, west London
Heavy rain overnight disrupted rush hour travel across London, with many closures and delays on roads and rail routes.
Sections of the A41, M25 and A1 in north London were blocked, as was part of the A40 at Old Oak Common.
Flooding and signal failures also affected several subway lines, causing network disruptions.
London Fire Brigade (LFB) said it was called to around 45 incidents related to flooding overnight.
These included flooded properties and rescuing people who were stuck in cars, the brigade said.

A section of the Shepperton line operated by South Western Railway was closed on Thursday morning between Fulwell and Hampton due to flooding, but has since reopened.
Several stations were also affected by deep surface water, with Turnham Green and Dagenham Heathway tube stations closed for a time on Thursday morning.
There were numerous delays on the tube network during the morning rush hour due to signal failures, a fire alert and bad weather.
District line services were suspended between Turnham Green and Richmond due to flooding in Richmond, while the Bakerloo line was closed between Queen’s Park and Harrow and Wealdstone due to a signal failure at Harlesden.
There were also no trains running between Sydenham and West Croydon due to a signal failure at West Croydon.
