Hounslow crash live: Update as woman dies after being hit by a van in the Brentford horror crash

A woman has died after being hit by a van in west London this afternoon. Emergency services attended the scene in Sterling Place, Brentford, just before 4pm on January 12.

The Metropolitan Police have not yet released the name of the victim, while investigating officers are in the process of informing his family. The accident took place near Clayponds Hospital & Rehabilitation Unit.

A spokesman for the force told MyLondon: “Officers were called by London Ambulance Service at around 3pm on Thursday 12 January to reports of a collision between a van and a pedestrian in Sterling Place, W5 Emergency services attended.

“Despite the efforts of medical personnel, the woman died a short time later. Officers are in the process of notifying her next of kin.”
