Tottenham shot dead: Woman, 24, in critical condition after being shot on busy road

A woman is in a serious but stable condition after being shot on a high street in North London this morning (Tuesday, December 27). . The 24-year-old woman was rushed to the hospital with an injury to her arm.

The scene is believed to have been very busy, as a party was taking place nearby. It has not been confirmed whether the woman was at the party.

Emergency services, including paramedics from London Ambulance Service, attended the scene after reports of a shooting just before 6.30am. She already went to hospital without getting any help from medical doctors.

Woman, 24, found in hospital emergency services

When they arrived at the scene, paramedics and police officers did not find anyone injured. They checked nearby hospitals around 6.50am and were able to confirm that a 24-year-old woman was taken to a hospital in North London without first aid.

She is still in hospital receiving treatment and is in a serious but stable condition.

‘Significant number of people’ at nearby party

In an appeal for witnesses, the Met Police said preliminary investigations indicated the woman was shot in the West Green Road area shortly before 6.30am. But from the time of the accident, there were a lot of people around the place where the party was taking place.

It is not yet clear whether the woman is believed to have been at the party.

Road remains closed and bus on diversion following incident

The North London motorway remains closed this afternoon following the shooting in South Tottenham this morning.

Traffic site Inrix said the road was still closed this afternoon, writing: “The A504 West Green Road is closed in both directions, slowing traffic due to the emergency services incident between Portland Road and Grove Park Road.”

Diversions are also in place for bus service 41, which runs from Archway to Tottenham Hale.
