Tower Bridge attack: Men rushed to hospital after being attacked by ‘group of men’ on busy London street

A road near Tower Bridge was closed after two men were assaulted in the early hours of the morning. Two men, believed to be in their 20s, were found injured in Tower Bridge Road, Southwark, at 2am on Sunday (August 28).

The police rushed to the scene along with an ambulance, which took them both to the hospital. The men are still in hospital where their injuries are considered non-life threatening.

The initial interrogation shows that the two were beaten by a group of men who had left the area before the police were called. No one has been arrested.

Tooly Street has been cordoned off by police from Queen Elizabeth Street to Tower Bridge Road. The Met said inquiries into what happened are ongoing and the crime scene remains open.
