Violence in London: two deadly shootings within 24 hours

Police were called on Wood Green High Road on Sunday night

Police confirmed that the two men were killed in separate shootings in London within 24 hours.

A 20-year-old man was shot and killed on High Road in Wood Green around 9:30 PM BST on Sunday and was killed at the scene. It has not yet been named.

Sam Brown, 28, was hospitalized after being shot at a convention in Cheney Row Park. He later died and a murder investigation was opened.

Police said one man had been arrested in connection with the shooting in Waltham Forest.

No arrests have been made in connection with the Wood Green shooting, but detectives said a relative of the victim was informed.

Elsewhere in London, a man in his forties remains in a life-threatening condition after being stabbed in Playford Road, Seven Sisters.

He was found injured at 6:15 AM BST on Sunday, Met said.
